In the framework of his official visit to the US, the Minister of Public Order, Mr. George Voulgarakis, gave a speech yesterday (12/04/2005) at the dinner organized in his honor by the Associations for Hellenic-American Cooperation, American Hellenic Institute and Hellenic American National Council.
The Minister in his speech pointed out that our country obtained immense experience, state-of-the-art technology and in-depth know-how from preparing and hosting the Olympic Games, which makes Greece a stabilizing power in the reconstruction process of the greater region.
Furthermore, Mr. George Voulgarakis emphasized on the need for international cooperation, making special reference to the aid provided by the US in organizing the Athens Olympics. In addition to that, the Minister suggested ways to enhance and enlarge this cooperation framework.
Last but not least, Mr. George Voulgarakis thanked the members of the Hellenic American Community for their on-going support and participation to our country´s accomplishments and demands.
