02-09-2005: The visit of the General Secretary of the South African Ministry of Interior Affairs has been completed

Today marked the end of the official visit to our country of Mr. Jeff Mzuvukile MAQETUKA, the General Secretary at the Ministry of Interior of South Africa. The purpose of the visit was to transfer the know-how and the experience acquired by the Greek Ministry of Public Order from planning and implementing the security measures for the Athens Olympic Games.

In the context of all these contacts with Greek Ministry officials, the South African part invited the executives from the Centre for Security Studies to South Africa, so as to further focus on specific fields concerning the issues of security, in view of the 2010 World Football Cup which is to be held in South Africa.
