17-01-2006: The Public Order Minister congratulated the two Special Guards first to intervene in yesterday`s bloody robbery

The Minister of Public Order Mr. George Voulgarakis, in the presence of the Leadership of the Hellenic Police Force, received today (17-1-2005) in his office the two Special Guards, who were the first to intervene and chase the perpetrators of yesterday`s bloody robbery at the branch of the National Bank of Greece, in order to congratulate them on their self-control, professionalism and the spirit of self-sacrifice they proved.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Voulgarakis made the following statement: “The Hellenic Police Force is investigating this serious case, assessing all existing evidence and making the best out of its forensic laboratory capacities. Investigations shall continue in a methodic and persistent way so as to arrest the other culprits and bring them to justice.”
