In the context of the Hellenic Presidency of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP), a summit of Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs shall take place in Loutraki, Korinthia, on the 7th and 8th of February 2006 («POSEIDON RESORT» hotel).
The Ministers of the following countries shall take part in this summit:
- Albania,
- Bosnia-Herzegovina,
- Bulgaria,
- Greece,
- Croatia,
- Moldavia,
- FYROM,
- Romania,
- Serbia-Montenegro,
- Turkey.
Austria shall also be represented, since it currently holds the presidency of the European Union, whereas representatives from the following international organizations have also been invited:
- European Commission,
- Europol,
- South East Europe Cooperation Initiative,
- Black Sea Economic Cooperation,
- Stability Pact for the countries for South-eastern Europe.
The topic of the summit shall be cooperation for regional security with special reference to the fight against organized crime, trafficking and terrorism.
Experts of all sides shall meet on the first day of the Summit (7-2-2006).
On Wednesday (8-2-2006) counterpart Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs shall meet. At the end of the talks, the Greek Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs, Mr. Anastassios Papaligouras and Mr. George Voulgarakis, shall give a joint press conference at 13H00.
SEECP is a regional initiative with the participation of the countries of South East Europe that have signed the «Good Neighborhood Charter».
