The Ministry of Public Order General Secretary, Mr. Leonidas Evaggelidis will travel to Brussels today in order to participate in the European Union Justice and Internal Affairs Council of Ministers meeting. Officials from the Hellenic Police Force Headquarters will accompany the General Secretary.
- At the Council of Ministers meeting, the following issues will be discussed among others:
Amending Regulation on Mutual Recognition Mechanism (regarding entry of third country nationals to Schengen countries and vice versa). - Creating the European Police Academy (CEPOL) as a European Union institution.
- Assigning the EUROPOL Director.
