The General Secretary of the Ministry of Public Order Mr. Leonidas Evaggelidis, accompanied by Ministry officials, is travelling to Luxembourg today to take part in the works of the Justice and Home Affairs Council of Ministers of the European Union (12-10-2005).
The Council shall address the following issues, among others:
- simplifying information and data exchange procedures between law enforcement authorities of the EU Member-States,
- personal data storage and mainly, mobile communications, aiming at preventing and investigating criminal actions as well as tracking down and persecuting the culprits.
