01-09-2005: Meeting of the General Secretary of the Ministry of Public Order with the General Secretary of the Minister of Interior of South Africa

Mr. Jeff Mzuvukile MAQETUKA, General Secretary of the South African Ministry of Interior, accompanied by officials, paid a visit today at 10 a.m. to his counterpart, the Greek General Secretary of the Ministry of Public Order, Mr. Leonidas Evaggelidis, at the premises of the Ministry.

The Director of the Centre for Security Studies of the Public Order Ministry, Police Lieutenant General retired in honour Mr. Vassilios Konstantinidis as well as Ministry officials also attended the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to transfer the know-how and experience acquired by the Ministry of Public Order from planning and implementing the security measures during the Olympic Games, in view of South Africa organizing the World Football Cup in 2010.
